Responsibilities

 

We’re seeking a seasoned Digital Services Technical Lead to champion modern software delivery practices through DevSecOps methodology, guide incident resolution, and lead strategic technical improvements across a large-scale AWS-based enterprise environment. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic direction. You’ll oversee high-impact software delivery initiatives, orchestrate critical incident responses, and influence a wide network of engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. The Ideal Candidate must be a strategic thinker and technical executor with a passion for reducing downtime, automating solutions, and building resilient, secure digital services, thrives in high-pressure environments, bring structure to chaos, and unite teams around common goals.

 

What will you do:

 

  • Lead the maturity and implementation of modern DevSecOps practices across software development and delivery teams.
  • Direct and manage the real-time resolution of critical incidents, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and communicating with executive stakeholders.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis and establish proactive technical solutions to avoid recurrence.
  • Drive improvements to monitoring, alerting, automation, and incident response tooling.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between software engineers, SREs, security teams, and business stakeholders during technical events.
  • Facilitate post-incident reviews and lead efforts to integrate learnings into operational processes and tooling.
  • Collaborate on building and evolving CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and delivery automation using GitLab, Terraform, and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and security standards are maintained across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Support Agile teams by integrating DevSecOps best practices into sprint cycles.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience. Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • 8 years of experience in cloud-native application delivery, AWS, networking, and infrastructure automation.
  • Expert-level knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD automation, secure coding, and IaC using Terraform.
  • Real-world experience resolving critical outages and leading root cause analysis efforts.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (CloudWatch, IAM, OpenSearch), container orchestration (EKS), and security tools (e.g., Aqua, DLP).
  • Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD including environment management, feature flags, and DORA Metrics reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams under pressure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms like Datadog.
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level incident briefings and technical documentation.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
