Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join our team as a Project Task Manager.  This full-time position is in support of the United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) located in Northern Chicago, IL (Great Lakes Region). This position is on-site, however will consider hybrid / remote work arrangements

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and end users to elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements for systems addressing business problems.
  • Document and review software requirements for a large development team managing multiple applications related to data classification and document management.
  • Interface with multiple stakeholders to assess requirements and ensure consistency across all products.
  • Oversee both functional and non-functional requirements for various products within the project team.
  • Manage and verify requirements, capturing detailed user needs and ensuring clear, consistent, and test able requirements in user stories.
  • Reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information, and participate in peer reviews of requirements documentation.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum requirements are: 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; or obtaining a PhD
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management overseeing cost, schedule and performance for software projects and activities.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of agile software development and project management.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based applications and API design.
  • Software projects experience with Cloud-based applications.
  • Ability to define and document custom software workflows and non-functional requirements (data flows, diagrams, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both technical and business settings.
  • Professional certification(s) such as PMP, CISP, ITIL v4, IT-II.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • The ability to pass a government background investigation and be clearance eligible.
  • Ability to travel on-site 10-25% of the time if needed.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in analyzing complex software projects for DoD clients.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (Confluence and Jira).
  • Experience in DoD application modernization projects with decentralized teams.
  • Experience with AWS cloud development teams.
  • Comfortable interacting with staff and management at all levels, including executives

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
