Responsibilities

 

Peraton is seeking an AWS Software Developer  to join our high-performing team supporting the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) Program. As a key contributor, you'll help modernize and migrate critical legacy systems to the AWS cloud, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient application performance.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Modernize & Migrate: Support the transition of legacy applications to AWS cloud environments.
  • Full SDLC Involvement: Participate in analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment of both cloud and on-prem solutions.
  • DevOps & Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, and GitLab.
  • Security Focused: Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities while ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Collaborative Integration: Work cross-functionally to document and manage system interfaces, dependencies, and integrations.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Experience in software engineering using:
    • Java, Spring/Spring Boot, J2EE
  • Strong experience migrating applications to AWS, utilizing services such as:
    • Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, CloudFormation
  • Experience with:
    • Agile/Scrum development methodologies
    • Tools such as Git, Jenkins, JIRA
  • Knowledge of:
    • Linux environments
    • Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle
    • Application servers: WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance

 Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • Experience with containerization technologies:
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
