Responsibilities

We are Hiring! Peraton is looking for a Business Analyst to join our FDIC team. We are embarking on a new project that will modernize a web-based .NET system into the Azure Cloud using various cutting-edge technologies.  Additionally, the goal of this project will be to automate the customer’s manual processes.   The software development lifecycle will leverage an Agile framework with DevSecOps processes using Agile teams.

 

This qualified individual will provide subject matter expertise of business support services for this modernization in alignment with statutory requirements, organizational mission, and strategic objectives.  The Business Analyst will act as the Peraton-side Product Owner by coordinating with the FDIC Product Owners, managing the product backlog items, clarifying priorities and requirements to the team, and contribute to business process reengineering, IT investment integration, and ensuring data-driven decision-making through advanced analysis, modeling, and reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the customer’s technical resources to translate requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories for both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct high-level analysis to support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support agency mission and strategic goals through business process improvement and IT integration.
  • Perform feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and lead the design of new systems and processes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement through interviews, workshops, and training.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into functional specifications, use cases, process/workflow diagrams, and data flow models.
  • Participate in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs), including documentation of data requirements, calculation rules, and supporting metadata.
  • Create and validate special ad-hoc reports, database queries, and status updates.
  • Verify the accuracy and integrity of data analysis performed by self and others.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

 

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • Experience interpreting and generating business models, system models, domain models, and sequence diagrams.
  • Experience managing Agile Product Backlog Items:  Epics, Features, User Stories
  • Familiarity with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience inferring and analyzing business requirements from Use Cases.
  • Strong capability in cost-benefit analysis, forecasting, trending, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
