Responsibilities

The Sr. Systems Engineer will be involved in the development, deployment, and administration of data analytics tools and platforms on cloud-based, high-performance infrastructures.

 

What you'll do:

  • Administering current analytics platform tools, including managing permissions for all available capabilities rolled out to our modeling community.
  • Performing security assessments for incoming requests and modeling packages submitted to the analytics platform.
  • Maintaining active CI/CD pipelines for backend compute updates, production dashboards, and model releases.
  • Developing, maintaining, and deploying container images for set of modeling packages available in our environment.
  • Automating manual deployment and release steps for platform infrastructure supporting our modeling environment.
  • Standing up new opensource, cloud native, and COTS products and integrating tools into existing architecture.
  • Communicating platform changes and escalating platform issues as they arise.

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with 4 years of experience; Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or High School with a total of 6 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience with standing up and administering data analytics tools and platforms, such as Snowflake and Databricks
  • Demonstrated experience with hosting cloud infrastructure, specifically in AWS
  • Demonstrated experience with automated pipeline deployments to support CI/CD best practices
  • Experience with source version control (GitHub)
  • Experience with container development and CI/CD related tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins/CloudBees)
  • Development background in scripting languages, such as Python or bash
  • Team player - strong desire to work in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • US citizenship is required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Configuration and Policy as Code (YAML)
  • Experience with implementing network security policies
  • Experience with data security for large scale applications
  • Familiarity with Okta groups and permission administration
  • Experience in connecting large scale applications in an overall systems architecture
  • Experience integrating Infrastructure as Code into a system architecture (Terraform/Ansible)

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
