Responsibilities

Technology is constantly changing and our adversaries are digitally exceeding law enforcement’s ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. The Government has trusted in Peraton to provide the technical ability, tools, and resources to bring criminals to justice. In response to this challenge, Peraton is seeking a Data Architect who can leverage experience and expertise in data exploration, engineering, and ETL to explore, architect, develop, and deploying scripts for processing structured and unstructured data into usable data formats for long term storage, search, and analysis.

 

 Responsibilities

  •  Experience working with both structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to include data parsing, transformation, schema definition, and query/analysis.
  • Ability to manage and organize data while identifying trends and inconsistencies that will impact downstream analytics
  • Experience with data pipelines or be willing to learn a pipeline from bottom to top
  • Be able to troubleshoot files against an architecture to see where the upload process is failing and improve data ingest
  • Be able to understand unit tests and add to them to increase stability to the entire pipeline.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • Minimum of 10 years with AS/AA; Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Additional 4 years accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience with programming and software development on large scale multi-tier/full-stack Enterprise applications.
  • Five (5) years of experience working with data platforms on AWS including S3, RDS, and Postgres.
  • Five (5) years of experience with designing and implementing data ingest and and Data analytics pipelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reading comprehension, writing correspondences, and providing demos.
  • Development knowledge of any web-based UI framework (React, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Struts, Spring MVC, etc).
  • Experience working in an analytic sandbox.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
