Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a mission-driven Data Analyst/Data Scientist to support our SITE III Business Enterprise Services (BES) contract within the Intelligence Community. This role is part of our National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit, which supports the orchestration, sustainment, and modernization of a suite of enterprise applications — including Acquisition, Training, Security, and Human Resources systems — that enable critical administrative services across a global customer workforce.

 

Our work combines data science, enterprise architecture, cloud services, DevSecOps, and platform integration to evolve the IC’s business systems environment. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team applying analytical rigor and innovative technologies to support business process transformation and mission success.

 

What You’ll Do

As a Data Analyst/Data Scientist on the SITE III BES team, you will:

  • Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data from mission and business systems

  • Design and implement data collection pipelines and transformation processes

  • Use statistical methods, machine learning, and pattern recognition to identify insights and trends

  • Create data models, experimental frameworks, and predictive tools to support business decisions

  • Design and build intuitive dashboards and visualizations to convey analytical outcomes

  • Work collaboratively across engineering, development, and operational teams to drive data-informed solutions

  • Translate complex datasets into accessible insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Apply rigorous testing, verification, and validation to ensure data integrity and model accuracy

 

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD - An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

 

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data science or data analytics

  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical languages

  • Strong experience with data analysis, data engineering, and data enrichment

  • Proficiency in visualizing and presenting data using platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent

  • Strong analytical, testing, and validation skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical findings and insights

  • Skilled at selecting and applying the most effective methods of data visualization and storytelling

Desired Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Experience with software development using modern stacks such as:

    • Java/Linux/Ruby (open source) or

    • .NET, C#, C++ (Windows)

  • Familiarity with data transport and transformation technologies including JSON, XML, XSLT, JDBC, SOAP, and REST

  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, data clustering, or predictive modeling

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments supporting government or mission systems

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
