Responsibilities

The Medicare Part A Team requires a Lead Business Analyst to coordinate change request (CR) definition activities, conduct and report on system test activities, and ensure process compliance in completing their assignments related to the quarterly release projects.

 

What you'll do:

  • Complete Requirements Analysis for CMS Change Requests
  • Facilitate requirements demos with CMS and the contractors
  • Monitor BA deliverable dates and take corrective action as needed to ensure dates are met
  • Conduct testing and report status in Test Rail
  • Work to ensure appropriate testing coverage is in place for each CR
  • Defect/PROBLEM follow-up
  • Maintain PROBLEM tracking data
  • Create test set documentation
  • Ensure CR procedure compliance
  • Track contract performance measures
  • General support of other BA staff/mentoring
  • Create and modify processes relevant to the BA role
  • Assess performance and participate in performance feedback sessions with Project Managers and/or Team Managers at project close-down
  • Other tasks as assigned/needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifiications:

  • 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD or High School Diploma or 9 years with High School diploma in lieu of degree.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Overall familiarity with the Medicare Part A (FISS) System
  • Familiarity with the FISS release process
  • Experience working with clients and developers
  • Expertise in developing Medicare Part A system requirements, testing application changes, and updating system documentation
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Familiarity with high-maturity and Agile practices
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to influence and to deal with ambiguity
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
