Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a mission-driven Project Manager to lead a high-visibility programs supporting the Federal Government. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing project execution, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring excellence in delivery and performance. This individual will provide general project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all contract activities, ensuring timely delivery of contractual deliverables (CDRLs)
  • Manage service-level agreements (SLAs), proactively addressing risks and ensuring delivery commitments are met.
  • Lead development and execution of the Project Management Plan (PMP)
  • Manage cost, schedule, staffing, and performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate and lead project kickoff and recurring status meetings with customers and internal teams
  • Ensure staffing levels meet contract requirements and personnel are effectively organized and qualified
  • Perform subcontractor/vendor management and coordination functions as needed. 
  • Leads weekly/monthly internal company project reviews to track performance against targets and metrics. 
  • Achieve or exceed financial, delivery, and contractual performance targets for assigned projects/programs. 
  • Drive project reporting, including progress updates, financials, and performance metrics
  • Identify and resolve issues to maintain productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead regular project reviews with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. 
  • Review implementation, technical and operational issues, constraints, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducts monthly customer project reviews to ensure compliance, satisfaction and seek new areas to add value. 
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports for assigned projects with minimal guidance.
  • Project Scheduling/Implementation Planning: Provide project timeline estimates, create project schedules, baseline schedules, and coordinate project schedule review with the Government.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and regulations and apply them to continuously enhance IT operations and customer service.

  • Strong background in project planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills across multi-functional teams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen; must have the ability to obtain / maintain an EOD clearance. 
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years experiene or high school diploma/equivalent and nine (9) years experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing complex federal programs.
  • Strong background in federal contract execution, reporting, and team leadership.
  • Must have the ability to engage senior-level government stakeholders with professionalism and credibility.
  • Demonstrated strength in attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Must have the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must obtain PMP certification within six months of hire.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
