Responsibilities

Peraton has an immediate need for a Lead Solution Architect.  This position may be approved for remote work with up to 50% travel.

 

As a Lead Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design of innovative and cost-effective mission relevant solutions that could include systems engineering, applications, cyber security, cloud, enterprise IT infrastructure, and operational solutions that address the operational and technology needs of our customers while helping to grow the business. 

 

What you'll:

  • The LSA is responsible to lead teams of solution professionals and technical subject matter experts in the development of an integrated, cost-effective solutions for inclusion in proposal response that meets the customer’s requirements and maximizes Peraton’s competitive advantage.
  • The LSA oversees the creation and the documentation of the technical solution, plus the development of the costing of the solution for insertion into a proposal response to a Government client.
  • Leads the   technical solution development, competitive costing, and business case alignment of Peraton solutions and Offerings based on Government agency’s requirements.
  • The LSA will work closely with business development, delivery accounts and corporate offerings teams to determine the overall solution strategy and approach to align to the customer’s objectives and requirements.
  • Collaborates effectively with the appropriate Peraton business leaders to design the solution and agree on key solution parameters prior to costing activities
  • Merges industry point of view with broad technical knowledge and mission understanding to generate value propositions and approaches to solve Government customer challenges
  • Establishes strong relationships with Peraton partners and works with partners to drive high quality solutions and compelling value propositions
  • Identifies and evaluates solution risks and creates strategies and plans to mitigate those risks
  • The LSA will confidently articulates all aspects of the solution during governance reviews with senior Peraton management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with technical subject matter experts, program managers, proposal managers, and business development teams to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing successful technical solutions for large, complex opportunities / proposal submissions for US Federal Government and/or State & Local customers
  • Experience leading groups of 5-10 people on technical Solutioning efforts or sales pursuits
  • 3 + years of experience working with US Federal Government and/or State & Local customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and communicate at the senior and executive management levels
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge across a broad range of mission focused, and /or technology services and solutions, coupled with a strong customer focus and Intelligence community understanding
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical solutions into plain language for customers and partners
  • Experience collaborating with multi-vendor teams / SDVOSB partners / Subcontractors
  • Prior VA tenure of direct VA program experience
  • Experience designing solutions using DevSecOps, Microservices, and containerization
  • Knowledge of VA technology stacks: VBMS, VistA, Cerner, VAEC, etc
  • Familiarity with data integrations and interoperability standards
  • Knowledge of VA acquisition strategies
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to Obtain a Public Trust

Skill Sets:

  • Deep understanding of US public sector client security requirements related to their mission, business and policy objectives including but not limited to FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, FIPS 199, FIPS 200 and Industrial Security including SCIF Operations, HIPAA, PCI-, PII and 508 compliance regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience of defensive cyber operations to include systems necessary to execute them.
  • Deep understanding of IT security policy, process, technology and services
  • Ability to understand our competitor’s security related capabilities including:
    • Governance, Risk, and Compliance
    • Digital forensic investigation services
    • Continuous Monitoring
    • Application/Software Security
    • Identity and Access Management
    • Endpoint and Infrastructure Management
    • Data Protection and Privacy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • CompTIA Security +
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
