Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a passionate Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Engineer to join a new project that will modernize a web-based .NET system into the Azure Cloud using various cutting-edge technologies.  For this position, the goal will be to automate the customer’s manual processes.   We are seeking a highly skilled RPA Engineer with a strong Microsoft Azure focus. This role designs, develops, and deploys robust RPA solutions, leveraging Azure services to streamline and automate business processes for efficiency and innovation. The software development lifecycle will leverage an Agile framework with DevSecOps processes using Agile teams.

 

What you will do:

 

The Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Engineer is expected to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify processes for RPA automation.
  • Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of RPA solutions, integrating with Azure.
  • Leverage Azure for hosting, managing, and scaling RPA bots.
  • Implement best practices for code reusability, maintainability, and security.
  • Design and build robust error handling, logging, and monitoring.
  • Work with IT to ensure secure deployment and stability of RPA solutions in Azure.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews.
  • Contribute to RPA standards, governance, and architectural patterns in Azure.
  • Manage source control for RPA artifacts and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure.
  • Troubleshoot RPA bot and integration issues.
  • Support Agile teams in Backlog planning, work item refinement and story point analysis.
  • Ensure that User Stories have well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • For User Stories assigned to the engineer, ensure that work meets the acceptance criteria and is completed by the end of the sprint.
  • Demonstrate work completed in a sprint to the customer.
  • Support sprint retrospectives and incremental improvements based on feedback.
  • Design solutions using industry standard design patterns and best practices.
  • Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ total IT experience. An additional 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the degree.   
  • 5+ years hands-on RPA development.
  • Proficiency with a leading RPA platform (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate Desktop, Azure Logic Apps).
  • 3+ years’ experience deploying/managing solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python) or programming (C#, Java).
  • Familiarity with database concepts and SQL.
  • Proven ability to analyze processes and identify automation opportunities.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to execute in a remote team environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • RPA platform vendor certifications (e.g., UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer, Automation Anywhere Certified Master RPA Professional).
  • Experience with other automation technologies (e.g., intelligent automation, AI/ML integration).
  • Agile Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with using GitHub to leverage CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps deployments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Experience in the financial domain.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
