Cyber Software Engineer

Peraton is actively recruiting for a Cyber Software Engineer for one of our contracts in Charlottesville, VA.  The Cyber Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain secure software systems and tools that protect against cyber threats. This role blends deep software engineering capabilities with cybersecurity best practices. The ideal candicate will possess the following skills:

• Security+ certification (or the ability to obtain it quickly)
• Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS/Postgres, S3, SNS, Parameter Store)
• Experience with Red Hat
• Experience with Tomcat
• Proficiency in Java
• Comfortable working with a PostgreSQL database
• Knowledge of Ansible

Required Experience:

• Must have a minimum of a Top-Secret clearance and willing/ability to upgrade clearance to TS/SCI.
• 12+ years of work experience w/o BS/BA degree, 8 years of work experience w/BS/BA, 6 years of work experience w/MS/MA
• 1+ years of experience working with AWS
• 1+ years of experience working with Java
• 1+ years of experience working with Tomcat
