Technology Project Manager Advisor / Space Communications SME

Peraton is seeking a Technical Program/Project Manager/SME in support of our Space Communications Services (SCS) Operating Unit.  The SCS portfolio is comprised of multiple Prime programs delivering mission and operations success, space systems communications development, system architecture, system engineering, and facilities services to enable scientific discovery and space exploration by providing space communications and navigation solutions. 

This position will allow for 100% remote, with occasional travel to Peraton and customer sites as needed. 

This position will be responsible for the following:

• Providing subject matter expertise in commercial space with a focus on innovative partnerships
• Analyze complex problems and develop highly innovative solutions while engaging in project coordination with technical leads, advise on impacts and mitigation approaches.
• Mentor team leads on program execution
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure products and services effectively meet the requirements and expectations of the programs and contracts
• Support business development activities in new and follow-on contract pursuits
• Provides support to or leads in-depth trade studies and analysis for translating unified capability needs into new developments.
• Have strong expertise in drafting, reviewing and briefing, senior leadership and other stakeholders, as required.
• Provide technical knowledge and leadership in assessing operational plans and standards for ground monitoring systems and equipment and operations facilities.

Required Qualifications:

• MS degree or higher
• 20 years of experience performing program/project management, ground and mission operations, budget planning and analysis
• Knowledge of NASA, NOAA, and DoD
• Experience in program and project management expertise, specifically for program control in managing cost and schedule performances of highly complex government programs
• This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy while understanding broader technical issues.
• Ability to work in both a team environment and independently as a proactive self-starter.
• Excellent organizational skills such as prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
