We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our growing team in support of a mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) customer. In this role, you will provide enterprise-focused systems engineering expertise and contribute directly to the development and integration of complex systems that support national defense objectives.
As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including program personnel, senior executives, and customers, to ensure technical excellence and alignment with program goals. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality model-based systems engineering (MBSE) solutions using Cameo and ensuring alignment with architecture frameworks such as DoDAF and Service-Oriented Architectures.
Perform a range of systems engineering activities in support of MBSE efforts, with a focus on using Cameo to model system functions, behaviors, requirements, and interfaces.
Support the definition, development, and documentation of system architectures and engineering artifacts in accordance with DoDAF and program-specific requirements.
Create and maintain system models that represent both high-level architectural views and low-level design elements, ensuring completeness, consistency, and traceability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret and translate mission needs into system requirements and technical specifications.
Identify and propose new or innovative engineering approaches to solve complex technical problems and improve system performance or processes.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering documentation, including system descriptions, interface control documents, functional flow diagrams, and other technical deliverables.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to resolve technical issues and action items that span multiple domains.
Support engineering reviews, briefings, and technical interchange meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
