Peraton’s Space & Intelligence Sector, National Programs (NP) Business Unit (BU) has an immediate need for an experienced Operating Unit (OU)  Director to lead a portfolio of programs. This position will report to the Vice President & General Manager of National Programs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall responsibility for the success of the OU and its portfolio of programs generating $90 - 110M in annual revenue.
  • Meet financial commitments across multiple programs while driving on-contract growth and successfully defending our positions during recompetes.
  • Oversee program/contract execution, mentor/coach program managers, create growth strategies, meet financial commitments, engage customers and manage relationships, retain, develop, and grow the workforce, and manage partners.
  • Foster and mature key relationships within the customers’ organizations and commit to consistently high customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain the OU budget against the annual operating plan (AOP), meeting financial and business growth objectives.
  • Develop and deliver timely, accurate, and complete communication to executive leadership, the OU, and your customers, including contractual, financial, technical, and corporate status.
  • Coordinate and integrate with leaders across the NP BU and the enterprise to drive overall enterprise success.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating ownership of the NP culture and the practices required to adopt and grow the culture across the workforce.
  • Lead efforts to identify, attract, and retain top technical and functional staff for the OU.
  • Proactively resolve inter- and intra-organizational issues and concerns.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 16+ years of related professional experience, including a minimum of 10 years of experience within the Intelligence Community. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Program Management, including financial and technical oversight and reporting, with the demonstrated ability to meet customer and business commitments, identify and implement creative approaches to avoid/address/resolve challenges, and lead teams of senior leaders.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of programs across multiple contract types, including Cost Plus and FPLOE/T&M.
  • Demonstrated success managing high performing contracts supporting the Intelligence Community.
  • Proven record as an impactful team leader, including overseeing program/contract execution, mentoring/coaching program managers, creating growth strategies, meeting financial commitments, engaging customers and managing relationships, retaining, developing, and growing the workforce, and managing partners.
  • Demonstrated business acumen that includes a fundamental knowledge of contracts, human resources, talent acquisition, finance, security, and contracts.
  • Established and demonstrated relationships with senior government leaders and decision-makers.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.

 

 Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field, such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, computer science, information technology, management information systems.
  • Expert working experience with NRO
  • 2+ years successfully managing a portfolio of programs generating $60M+ in annual revenue.
  • Successful capture and/or new business experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Space Situational Awareness / Space Domain Awareness mission, Mission Management, Mission Data Processing, the Sace Protection mission, and/or Space Mission System Engineering & Integration.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
