Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician
Location: Kearneysville, WV
Company: Peraton – United States Coast Guard Infrastructure Managed Services Program

Peraton is seeking a skilled and motivated NOC Technician to join our dynamic team supporting the United States Coast Guard Infrastructure Managed Services program. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of Coast Guard network operations in a 24x7x365 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor essential network infrastructure and applications using a variety of network monitoring tools in a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC).

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform corrective maintenance on telecommunications and network systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Perform functional and integration testing on both new and existing hardware/software deployments to verify operational readiness.

  • Utilize network management platforms to detect and respond to system alerts and alarms, ensuring timely resolution of service-impacting issues.

  • Follow established procedures to validate, escalate, and track incidents and service interruptions through resolution.

  • Participate in shift rotations, including evenings, nights, weekends, and potential overtime during critical outages or high-demand periods.#USCGIMS

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with additional specialized training in information technology or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT or data center operations

  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification

  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification (preferred upon hire; required within first 6 months)

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience working in a large-scale data center environment

  • Proficient in using IT service management tools such as Remedy (or equivalent) to track incidents and service requests throughout their lifecycle

  • Proven ability to interact professionally and effectively with senior customer leadership and stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) IT security standards and compliance requirements

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
