Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a results-driven PMO Lead to support our high-visibility USCG infrastructure and IT services program. This role is critical to ensuring alignment between project execution, contract performance, and stakeholder expectations across a large, geographically dispersed enterprise.  The PMO Lead will provide centralized oversight of program planning, schedule integration, CDRL tracking, SLA compliance, and cross-functional coordination in support of operations centers, cloud environments, and enterprise modernization initiatives.

 

The PMO Lead ensures program activities are tightly managed, contractually compliant, and performance optimized.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

  • Program Oversight and Integration
    • Own the development, maintenance, and communication of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), aligning all task orders, milestones, and interdependencies.
    • Standardize project management practices across all project manager, ensuring transparency, traceability, and alignment to contract deliverables.
  • Performance Monitoring
    • Track and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive performance across all service towers.
    • Coordinate with tower leads to proactively mitigate underperformance and ensure recovery plans are implemented when required.
  • Change Order and Proposal Coordination
    • Support cost, schedule, and technical inputs for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), including BOEs and internal pricing reviews.
    • Maintain a change order tracker to provide real-time visibility into status risks and impacts.
  • CDRL & Deliverables Management
    • Ensure contract deliverables (CDRLs) are developed, reviewed, and submitted on time, maintaining quality and compliance with government expectations.
    • Establish a version-controlled repository and workflow process for document review and approvals.
  • Knowledge and Configuration Management
    • Lead implementation of a structured knowledge management system housing SOPs, templates, lessons learned, and compliance records.
    • Ensure all controlled documents follow approved configuration management protocols.
  • Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management
    • Maintain and oversee the risk register; track issue resolution and elevate blockers as appropriate.
    • Identify area for process improvement and efficiency gain across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Communications and Reporting
    • Prepare concise, data-driven reports for the Senior Program Director, Peraton executives, and USCG stakeholders.
    • Ensure consistent messaging and alignment across IPTs, tower leads, and contract support staff.
  • Tool Governance and Reporting Automation
    • Enforce consistent use of approved program tools (MS Project, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence) and integrate reporting dashboards to improve decision-making.
    • Drive automation where possible to reduce manual reporting and improve timeliness.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
    • Conduct internal QA check on deliverables and processes to ensure contract compliance.
    • Lead post-mortem reviews and incorporate lessons learned into program delivery processes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • PMP Certification (PMI)
  • ITIL v3 and/or ITIL 4 Foundation to align with the latest version of DESMF
  • Active Secret clearance (or higher)
  • 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams of IT professionals supporting a large enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated success managing CDRLs, IMS, and change management
  • Proficiency with MS Project, SharePoint, Confluence, and JIRA (or similar tools)
  • Record of success in proposal development and execution of FFP and T&M projects
  • Experience in project management and planning with the ability to balance and prioritize numerous deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences
  • U.S. Citizenship; Active Secret clearance and above 
  • Certified TBM Executive (CTBME)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a lead PMO or integrated program controls role supporting Federal Contracts
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and coordinating project schedules
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or CMMI-based quality frameworks
  • Experience supporting proposal development and BOE generation

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
