DevOps Developer

Technology is constantly changing and our adversaries are digitally exceeding law enforcement’s ability to keep pace. In response to this challenge, Peraton is seeking a Technical Support – DevOps Developer to be part of a Tier 3 support team that has experience to provide proven, industry leading capabilities to our customer.

What you’ll do…

You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and triaging trouble tickets for quick resolution of identified technical issues. Work closely with helpdesk and software development team members to resolve user and system issues in a large application used by thousands of people. Oversee software deployments and improve the Microsoft TFS CI/CD pipeline.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Triage, investigate and resolve technical problems using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and with other tools and applications
• Author and deploy data fixes
• Oversee and improve the existing software deployment process
• Compile and communicate daily status reports

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 7+ years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience; OR Master’s Degree and 3+ years of experience. Or 0 years with PhD. However, four (4) years of additional relevant experience or specialized training will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with programming and software development including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or upgrading of software systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications while maintaining 24/7 availability.
• Comfortable authoring and executing SQL statements and P scripts.
• Have some experience with CI/CD pipelines, Microsoft BI Cube, data warehouses, or reporting.
• A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Has experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Has experience with running SQL commands.
