Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Program Finance Director to lead the program finance, cost control, and scheduling functions in a dynamic federal government contract environment. This pivotal role will support the financial health of complex programs within our Space & Intelligence Sector through proactive analysis, rigorous compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

 

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in government contracting and program finance management, along with a strong ability to translate financial data into strategic insights. This position offers the opportunity to influence program success, drive operational efficiency, and work directly with senior leadership, vendors, and government customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of program finance, including cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Perform complex financial analysis to support strategic planning and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial reporting and analysis tools to guide decision-making for assigned programs.
  • Monitor program performance and conduct variance analysis against budgets and schedules; recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as a key technical expert on financial analysis and compliance issues in a government contracting environment.
  • Coordinate and negotiate financial compliance matters with government agencies to ensure accurate contract interpretation.
  • Define program plan requirements and ensure cross-departmental alignment in developing and executing program plans.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of key program metrics and performance indicators to senior management.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 16 years of applicable experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a Finance Management position, or a commensurate combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Government and/or Department of Defense customers
  • 5+ years of management experience overseeing individual performers
  • 3+ years of experience using Costpoint 
  • Must be based in the DC Metro Area
  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Strong ability to perform in a high paced environment and multitask
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational ability
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Costpoint, Cognos, and TM-1
  • Strong financial analysis skill set
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
