Responsibilities

The Datarunner project is actively seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and support the operational infrastructure, documentation, and procedures for both core and deployed Datarunner engines. This engineer will work closely with the existing team and developers to address external functional needs and rule-writing efforts.

 

Responsibilities include gathering and maintaining technical requirements, and supporting the integration of the Datarunner rules engine within other mission frameworks and external organizations. The engineer will also serve as the primary point of contact for delivering Datarunner capabilities to external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Seventeen (17) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Experienced with Mission Systems
  • Experienced with DataRunner
  • Experienced in performing Transfer & Decommission efforts of legacy to new system
  • Experienced working with mission data formats
  • Experienced with reviewing and processing, or creating Dataflow Management Requests, DMRs.
  • Experienced developing solutions for deploying and managing software in a distributed architecture
  • Experienced with providing outreach support to external customers
  • Experienced with Apache NiFi functionality and building DataFlows is desired
  • Experienced managing analytical needs and requirements
  • Experienced in creating Systems Architectural Diagrams depicting software and system functions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform independently

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
