Overall Assignment Description:
Senior-Level Systems Engineers provide leadership and technical expertise to multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate GEOINT by guiding efforts in requirements engineering, solution development, system integration, testing, and analysis across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor Mid- and Junior-level Systems Engineers in all aspects of systems engineering, including requirements development, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, integration, testing, and analysis.
Oversee the planning and traceability of user and system requirements, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and mission needs.
Guide the design and implementation of technical solutions based on system requirements and emerging technologies.
Support the Government in capturing and translating mission and stakeholder needs into actionable capability requirements and system-level solutions.
Contribute to the analysis and allocation of requirements to architecture components and associated programs.
Execute and manage systems integration activities across complex environments.
Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments to inform strategic decisions.
Assist with strategic technical planning, project management, risk management, performance engineering, and interface design.
Integrate systems, services, and processes across multiple Major System Acquisitions and organizational boundaries to support enterprise-level solutions.

Skills and Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific discipline such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or another STEM field or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
12+ years of experience in government or industry supporting complex systems engineering efforts, including familiarity with:
DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition processes
Requirements engineering processes
Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) process
Engineering large, complex System-of-Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments deployed in cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructures
Comprehensive understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.
Practical experience working with NGA/NRO joint integration activities.
Working knowledge of NGA Infrastructure and Program Office (IPO) environments.
Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.
