Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to drive impactful insights and build robust predictive models across a range of machine learning domains. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in one or more of the following areas: forecasting and time-to-event modeling, process optimization, natural language processing (NLP), and general machine learning. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced statistical analysis and AI methodologies to enhance business decision-making and improve product offerings.

 

This is a 100% Remote position.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Depending on your areas of expertise, you may contribute in several of the following capacities:

 

Forecasting and Optimization

  • Develop and apply time series forecasting techniques and survival analysis methods for time-to-event modeling.
  • Implement process optimization strategies, KPI modeling, and simulation tools to refine business operations.

Experimentation and Causal Inference

  • Design and execute A/B testing frameworks to evaluate and improve processes and products.

Natural Language Processing

  • Develop NLP models for tasks such as named entity recognition, text classification, and experience with generative AI applications.
  • Apply deep learning architectures to NLP challenges
  • Work with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks using tools like Langflow or similar.

Machine Learning and Applied AI

  • Build and validate ML models for clustering, anomaly detection, classification, and risk scoring.
  • Implement ML pipelines using tools like MLflow and deploy models on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Integrate customer feedback into AI model refinement and product strategies.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.
  • Document workflows and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Data Infrastructure

  • Perform data analysis using SQL and work with large-scale datasets within modern data warehousing environments.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance; Active federal background investigation with a T5 adjudication is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD in a related field
  • Proficiency in Python or R for ML and statistical modeling
  • Experience with ML pipelines, experimentation, and cloud deployment
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data processing
  • Familiarity with modern orchestration tools
  • Deep understanding of at least one major ML area (e.g., forecasting, NLP, optimization, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Polished oral and written communication skills sufficient to compose, tailor, and deliver original presentations and papers on abstract concepts
  • Ability to develops and employs strategies to analyze key issues, draw conclusions from data, and recommend viable solutions to address customer mission needs.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams to complete complex data science projects.
  • Experience in solving problems with structured and unstructured data
  • Experience in applying statistical and data visualization skills
  • Strong problem solving skills to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. Proven ability to learn and master new software, technologies and techniques
  • Experience with inferential and descriptive statistics

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
