Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Operations Manager to lead a dynamic team of network professionals supporting the U.S. Army Regional Cyber Center – Europe (RCC-E). This role is critical in driving operational readiness, ensuring compliance with DoD directives, and overseeing the daily execution of contract deliverables within the Network Management Branch.

 

Location: Wiesbaden, Germany

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight for a diverse team of 18 direct reports, including Firewall, Cisco ISE, Transport, and Network Configuration Management teams.

  • Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to monitor contract performance, manage personnel resources, and drive project execution.

  • Ensure 24x7 coverage of firewall operations and maintain cross-team coordination with other branch managers to support mission requirements.

  • Approve timesheets, leave requests, and ensure compliance with training and certification requirements.

  • Direct team efforts through inspections, audits, and assessments such as CCRI preparations and CSSP evaluations.

  • Lead teams in the implementation of automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to optimize network configuration and management workflows.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote operational excellence within the branch.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical teams in a network operations environment.
  • Certifications:
    • Must meet DoD 8140 requirements for DCWF Work Role 441 (Advanced).
    • CCNP (any specialization) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS) certification.

  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco ISE, firewalls, and transport technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible).

  • Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Army or DoD IT operations in an overseas or classified environment.

  • Familiarity with CCRI, RMF, and DISA STIGs.

  • ITIL certification or similar service management framework knowledge.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
