Peraton is looking to hire a Sr. Systems Architect. This is a remote position.
This program will support a customer that develops, enhances, and expand defense system capabilities using the Scaled Agile Large Solution Framework (SAFe) processes. The program itself will Vet personnel for security access, suitability, and credentialing. Preserve clearance, suitability, fitness, and credentialing adjudication decisions, and continuously evaluate cleared and trusted personnel, integrate and share information with other Federal Agencies and enable shared information to be used to identify and mitigate Insider Threat risks.
Responsibilities:
- Apply technical expertise to lead agile teams in working on unusually complex development challenges and provide product solutions in accordance with Agile Methodologies.
- Establish the basic structure of the system, defines essential core design features and elements that provide the framework.
- Incorporate engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the customer's infrastructure related to its business processes of collection, analysis, production, and dissemination.
- Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management, provide cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.
- Apply knowledge of enterprise IT or engineering needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensures that these are consistent with the customer's enterprise technical architecture.
- Design interfaces and brings system elements together, address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
- Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
- Customer liaison and support for development activities and to understand and shape requirements, assist the Govt. Product Owners in meeting their duties and responsibilities and managing the Product Backlog.
- Work with the customer and across Scrum Teams to prioritize features, user stories, and identifying team velocity.
- Work with Product Owners to identify priorities, participate in Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, and lead team daily stand-up meetings.
- Work collaboratively among cross-functional teams and multiple vendors to execute timely releases of code.
- Work with Scrum Master to support development and/or sustainment of a software environment that covers the entire Software Development Lifecycle using current methodologies to include Continuous Deployment, Agile, and Development Operations (DevOps).
- Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of others on the development team.
- Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports.
- Provide support to the Enterprise Architecture team, the Release Train Engineer (RTE), and Senior Leadership. Coordinate intra-team, external-team, cross-ART, and cross-functional cooperation to facilitate synergy and success across the Program.
- Attend Program-Level Ceremonies and Reviews on behalf of the Scrum Team and brief Team status during Quarterly Program Increment Planning sessions.
