Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of DevSecOps infrastructure tools and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud-based deployments, automation, security, and system integration, ensuring scalable and secure operations. This role will provide strategic leadership in DevOps practices and play a key role in ensuring system reliability and security compliance.

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable DevOps solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.

  • Lead the deployment, testing, certification, patching, and maintenance of DevSecOps infrastructure tools.

  • Provide technical leadership in Operations & Maintenance, ensuring efficiency across multiple tools and platforms.

  • Deploy and configure services using Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) providers, optimizing cloud environments.

  • Manage and optimize Linux-based servers for enterprise applications and dynamic website operations.

  • Debug complex cluster-based computing architectures, ensuring seamless scalability.

  • Develop automation scripts to enhance CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.

  • Oversee installation and management of open-source monitoring tools to maintain system performance and security.

  • Address interoperability challenges, ensuring compliance with security frameworks and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align DevOps strategies with business objectives.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level DevOps engineers.
  • Lead efforts in cybersecurity compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and security protocols.

  • Develop and implement best practices in automation, infrastructure management, and cloud computing.

  • Engage with executives and stakeholders to drive DevOps initiatives and long-term technological advancements.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Linux environments, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Strong understanding of network security, cloud automation, and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).

  • Experience with high-availability architectures, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • A current/active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain/pass a polygraph.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, and system administration.

  • Min 8 years with BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Additional four years of experience accepted in lieu of a BS/BA degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, or Linux+.

  • Experience in government or defense-related IT environments.

  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks and risk management strategies.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
