Responsibilities

As a Microsoft 365 Administrator at Peraton, you are responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of the M365 platform. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively support both technical and non-technical users.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Office applications.

  • Configure and maintain security and compliance features such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), conditional access, Microsoft Defender, and information protection policies.

  • Administer users, groups, and administrative roles; manage security and privacy settings via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

  • Monitor service health and performance using built-in and third-party tools; analyze reports to optimize platform efficiency.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on Microsoft 365 applications.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience (Associate’s degree + 2 years, or High School Diploma + 4 years).

  • Experience as an M365 Administrator or similar enterprise-level role.

  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for M365 automation and management.

  • Knowledge of M365 security and compliance features, including DLP, information protection, and audit logging.

  • Experience with Azure in government or commercial environments.

  • Familiarity with Intune for application and device management.

  • Security+ certification required.

  • U.S. citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and workload management skills.

  • Understanding of IT management principles, ITIL processes, and change management.

  • Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

  • Experience with modern office technologies.

Target Salary Range

$39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
