Mid-Level Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, server environments, and operating systems. This role requires expertise in network administration, virtualization technologies, and system integration, ensuring optimal system performance and security.

• Supervise and coordinate additions and modifications to network hardware, infrastructure servers, operating systems, and attached devices.
• Investigate, analyze, configure, install, and test new network hardware and software solutions.
• Provide direct technical support in the day-to-day operations of network hardware and operating systems, monitoring system utilization and response times.
• Troubleshoot issues at both physical and logical levels, working with network measurement tools, communication protocols, and hardware validation methods.
• Participate in the planning, design, technical review, and implementation of new network infrastructure for voice and data communications.
• Ensure compliance with network infrastructure standards, including TCP/IP communication protocols.
• Perform system management and integration functions, maintaining operational efficiency and supporting IT staff training initiatives.
• Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems while assisting with certification and accreditation tasks.
• Maintain systems with approved patches and document procedures through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quick Reference Guides.
• Provide technical expertise in client/server environment design, supporting infrastructure strategies and relational database structures.
• Advise on technological acquisitions related to data storage, access, processing, and applications development.

• Expertise in virtualization technologies, system integration, and network administration.
• Strong understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP) and network troubleshooting.
• Experience in security compliance, accreditation processes, and patch management.
• Ability to support enterprise-level IT environments and collaborate with government personnel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A current/active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain/pass a polygraph.
• Associates degree and 7+ years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience; OR Master’s Degree and 3+ years of experience. However, four (4) years of additional relevant experience or specialized training will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering, network administration, or related roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cloud computing, automation, and data center migrations.
