Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead to support our Strategic Innovations Group (SIG) Sector. The FP&A Lead will coordinate SIG financial quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting processes, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. This role is responsible for providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations, and other projects requested by senior management. This function provides key analytical support to the Finance director to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. 

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

 

  • Meet with team Monthly to review CRS with emphasis on Profit, Funding and Backlog which includes reconciling Unbilled Balances and specific Backlog Adjustments where needed.
  • Set the EAC schedule for Corporate Compliance Reviews as well as Internal Reviews.
  • Monitor Cash Collections with Team including DSO inputs and forecasting.
  • Coordinate the month-end close internally including mitigating potential issues and reporting results (Accounting flash review)
  • Coordinate Sector forecasting in PRISM including auditing of program forecasts to kick off the Monthly Business Review (MBR) preparation and internal reviews.
  • Coordinate Sector indirect budgeting in PRISM including reporting for various operating units and functional areas.
  • Support Ad Hoc data requests as they arise from Corporate Peraton.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in financial analysis, financial reporting and forecasting, accounting, and budgeting is required
  • Strong leadership skills with projects and initiatives is required
  • Government contracting industry experience is strongly preferred
  • FAR and CAS knowledge and experience is strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills are required
  • Experience in successfully managing and prioritizing multiple deliverables is required
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Peraton Financial systems (Costpoint, Hyperion PRISM) is preferred
  • MBA is preferred

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
