Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a skilled Server Administrator to support the installation, provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance of server hardware critical to our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with the team to create internet domains and manage domain name services (DNS) essential to project operations. Additional responsibilities include testing data exchange and communication between servers and network devices.

This role involves analyzing, identifying, and implementing system enhancements, upgrades, or solutions to improve the performance and reliability of the platform in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up new user accounts and manage access permissions
  • Administer and maintain file servers
  • Manage and support backup and recovery solutions
  • Configure and maintain server-local firewalls
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to STE/STN, IAVA compliance, and SEAR logging
  • Provision customer equipment in preparation for installation
  • Monitor the local area network (LAN) for threats, vulnerabilities, and errors

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Seventeen (17) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
    is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science,
    Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher is required
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph required.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
