Responsibilities

The Image Analysis Manager will be responsible for the direct supervision of the Image Analysis staff. He or she will review and prioritize work and provide  constructive feedback. Additionally, the manager will schedule and hold staff meetings, as well as, one-on-one meetings to communicate corporate messages and receive employee status.  The manager will review recommendations for improvement and will be responsible for the employment, training, and discipline of assigned employees.

 

The Image Analysis Manager will be responsible for providing technical and functional leadership in support of an independent validation and verification (IV&V) of systems and products for the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). He or she will develop systems engineering and/or image analysis standards and methodology consistent with technical requirements. A strong understanding of image analysis is essential. The role requires the ability to work in a geographically diverse, multi-government, multi-contractor, multi-disciplined matrixed and dynamic teams. The preferred candidate must possess exceptional organizational and communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and be a proven self-starter.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must in a funded technical position on the program: e.g. Image Analyst
  • Must have a minimum of a Top Secret clearance and willing to upgrade clearance to TS/SCI and sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- Contract requires TS/SCI with poly.
  • Requires BA/BS 
  • 10+ years remote sensing experience within the Intelligence Community
  • Specialized knowledge in at least one area of Systems Engineering or Imagery Analysis and a general knowledge in both, as they relate to the NSG.
  • Demonstrated project team or personnel leadership experience
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience and expertise
  • Self-starter able to self-manage, manage multiple tasks, adjust to changing priorities, and manage others to deliver quality work on schedule
  • Strong customer service and teaming skills; ability to collaborate in multi-discipline cross-functional team
  • Strong oral, written communications, presentation skills with government and contractor personnel at all levels
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving technical and non-technical issues, driving to closure
  • Ability to work with customers to resolve technical & programmatic issues & make changes based on customer goals

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with staffing, recruiting, and interviewing candidates.
  • Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or Geospatial information analysis or related intelligence discipline.
  • 15+ years proven intelligence community or defense applied technical professional experience
  • National and Tactical level GEOINT systems and mission image analysis experience
  • Experience in GEOINT business methods and mission tradecraft, system activity & data modeling and analysis, info flow/transaction process analysis, risk management, readiness assessment, performance measurement techniques
  • Experience in commercial/defense industry imaging systems, including product descriptions, delivery workflows, information operations and assurance, content architectures, data standards, virtual cloud services oriented architectures, industry best practices
  • Experience with tradition, non-traditional, and emerging GEOINT sources current, planned, or under consideration to add to NSG enterprise capabilities

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
