Responsibilities

Provide executive-level budgetary performance support to the organization's front office. Responsibilities include:

  • Track and report customer's budget execution
    • Integrate and visualize budget data from disparate data sources to create new insights
    • Develop content for executive level briefings and dashboards
    • Brief customer leadership on budgetary issues and other topics of importance
  • Serve as office-wide budget SME resource
    • Educate customer's staff on budget and financial topics
    • Develop improvements to the customer's budget and finance process, documentation, and governance
    • Interface with leadership, budget, finance, and plans staffs of subordinate organizations on substantive budgetary topics
  • Facilitate office-wide budget processes
    • Drive accountability by documenting meetings, identifying actions, and ensuring timely resolution
    • Track, assign, and respond to corporate actions

Work location will be in Chantilly.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience with relevant customer business systems (Cognos, BASIS, ALM, HIVE, TaskIt, etc.)
  • Experience extracting budget and fiscal reporting from customer business systems
  • Experience creating and maintaining budget structures, including WBS, BLIs, etc.
  • Exceptionally strong experience with Excel, including creating and using PivotTables
  • Ability to identify, acquire, and combine relevant business data to inform executives
  • Experience drafting written communications for an executive-level audience
  • Exceptional initiative and ability to operate with limited oversight
  • Active TS/SCI w/poly
  • Minimum experience
    • 12 years with BS/BA
    • 10 years with MS/MA
    • 7 years with PhD
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, or 4 additional years of relevant technical experience may be accepted as equivalent

Desired:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
