Responsibilities

We are hiring a Program Security Specialist to provide technical security support to for government programs.  This position will be onsite in Huntsville, AL.  

 

The Program Security Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Interpreting, implementing, and administering security policy; monitoring management of personnel access quotas, program access request processing, and conducting program indoctrinations and debriefings. 
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary security functions to include INFOSEC, PERSEC, OPSEC, and Foreign Disclosure for a DoD Project Office. 
  • Assisting in providing an effective Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program. 
  • Conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, pre/post foreign travel briefings, refresher briefings, and other briefings as needed. 
  • Assisting with Classified Meeting preparation and support. 
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and maintaining Security Classification Guides (SCGs). 
  • Assigning and updating building badges as needed.
  • Ensuring security policies and procedures are compliant with government, and customer requirements. 
  • Escorting non-cleared personnel as needed. 
  • Identifying deficiencies and implementing best practices.
  • Interpreting security doctrine and providing clear guidance to employees. 
  • Preparing and shipping classified packages IAW DoD guidelines.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Education:  5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA, 7 years with AS, 9 years with HS
  • Clearance:  Active Secret clearance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security management, with a focus on defense contracting or related industries.
  • Government security regulations, including NISPOM, and experience with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) processes.
  • Working knowledge of the relevant DoD security guidance and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards.
  • Thorough understanding of security databases such as DISS, NBIS, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with 32 CFR 117, National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254), and Program Classification Guides.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
