Responsibilities

Peraton requires A/V Technicians (JNY) to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and  common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Install, configure, manage, maintain, and operate Video Teleconferencing (VTC) equipment in common areas, ensuring optimal system performance and availability.
  • Support daily VTC operations, including setup, scheduling, monitoring, and management of multiple simultaneous sessions.
  • Provide dedicated support for high-profile VTC events attended by Very Important Persons (VIPs).
  • Recommend and implement upgrades to enhance VTC system capabilities and reliability.
  • Manage version control and provisioning of VTC CODECs using Telepresence Management Suite (TMS).
  • Install and maintain audiovisual (A/V) equipment, including flat panel displays, room-based VTC endpoints, and projectors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues down to the equipment (black box) level.
  • Maintain daily Master Station Logs (MSL) and ensure thorough shift change procedures.
  • Schedule, configure, and connect users to DISA Global Video Services (GVS) and Defense Video Services (DVS) conferences.
  • Train designated personnel on the proper use and operation of VTC equipment.
  • Support non-traditional work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by mission needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, OR
    • Master's degree with 3  years of relevant experience, OR
    • High School diploma with 9 years of relevant experience, OR
    • Associate degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Required Skills & Experience:
    • Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting VTC systems in a government environment.
    • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair of VTC hardware and software, including Cisco, Polycom, ViPer phones, and secure phones.
    • Ability to follow established procedures and perform effectively under stressful conditions.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Skilled in maintaining, setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting video conferencing equipment.
    • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with senior-level professionals.
  • Clearance Requirement:
    • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret (TS) security clearance or higher.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
