Responsibilities

 

We are HIRING!  We are adding a Database Administrator to the team. This is a remote position. The qualified candidate will join our Federal Reserve Bank's  high performing team. The hired individual must be willing to work off hours, weekends, and on-call support

 

What you will do:

  • Perform change management (CM) role on the components and implement change requests based on CM processes
  • Perform break/fix activities following incident management process
  • Maintain, Install, Upgrade Oracle Database throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger operational team
  • Good interpersonal, communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Provide database application performance tuning and operational database support
  • Well-spoken and comfortable communicating with customer facing activities
  • Responsible for database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades, design, development, testing, and performance tuning
  • Participation in client meetings will be required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with other internal teams, and directly with the clients

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 years of experience. Additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree. 
  • Oracle Database administration experience, preferably with 19c and above
  • Experience with Oracle installation
  • Strong Proficiency in PL/SQL
  • Experience in backup & recovery, monitoring, patching, and upgrades
  • Experience with RMAN, Data Pump, and other forms of backups and recovery
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to work with remote, matrixed teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is a plus
  • ITIL / Agile awareness is a plus

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
