Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Agile Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating agile practices, ensuring smooth implementation of Scrum frameworks, and empowering cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time. You will act as a servant leader, guiding teams in the process of continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, and removing any obstacles to help achieve sprint goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Guide and coach team members in Agile principles and Scrum practices to foster self-organizing and high-performing teams.
  • Actively identify and remove any blockers or obstacles that hinder the team's ability to meet their sprint goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Drive and support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization and facilitating regular retrospectives.
  • Monitor team progress, ensure transparency of work, and provide insights on team performance via burndown charts, velocity tracking, and other relevant metrics.
  • Assist the Product Owner in refining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure it is ready for sprint planning.
  • Help scale agile methodologies across teams and promote best practices for Agile delivery.
  • Identify risks early, work with the team to address them, and escalate as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance is required.
  • BA/BS and 5+ years of experience; Masters and 3+ years; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), including roles, ceremonies, and artifacts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar tools).
  • Comfortable with change and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with scaling Agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification is highly desirable.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
