Responsibilities

We are searching for a talented Product Management Director to become part of Peraton’s Cyber Mission Sector Growth organization.

 

As the Product Management Director you will be responsible for transitioning R&D outputs into market-ready products, leveraging strategic planning and cross-functional leadership to align product roadmaps with business goals. This role requires strong relationships within the target market and the Operations in the Information Environment community, both in industry and government, to drive new business growth and achieve revenue goals. The director will oversee product development, market research, and launch execution, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with corporate strategies.

 

What you’ll do:

 

The Product Management Director will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Translate R&D outputs and developments into actionable market strategies.
  • Integrate product-oriented market strategies with broader corporate, sector, and account plans.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, pricing, program management, and business development, to plan and execute product management strategies.
  • Create customer-focused strategic growth plans with clear objectives, goals, and actions to drive new business growth, ensuring alignment with corporate and sector strategy goals.
  • Oversee product development, testing (e.g., QA, UAT), and launch readiness to ensure successful product releases.
  • Define product performance KPIs and monitor post-launch performance for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct and coordinate market research in collaboration with business development and subject matter experts to identify and define customer needs and validate product-market fit.
  • Develop strategies to shape requirements and support successful capture of new business, communicating these effectively to technical, functional, and business teammates.
  • Coordinate with a business development staff of organizationally aligned and matrixed resources to engage in complex functional activities that have a major impact on meaningful and measurable revenue growth by winning new business and contract re-competes for business units, sector, and throughout the company.
  • Act as the primary advocate for the products vision, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and organizational goals.
  • Develop a structured framework to gather, evaluate, and prioritize feature requests from multiple stakeholders, including government customers, and internal teams.
  • Foster a user-centered approach to product development by working closely with customers, end-users, and user experience teams to gather feedback and inform design decisions.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with technology vendors and other third-party providers(if applicable) to enhance product capabilities and better meet customer demands 
  • Lead the development and maintenance of product documentation, including roadmaps, use cases, mission requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for external customers, program managers, and stakeholders to communicate product strategies and progress clearly and effectively.
  • Identify and assess emerging technologies, trends, and innovations that can be integrated into products to address evolving customer needs, deliver a competitive advantage, and ensure the company stays ahead in the market.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 16 years of Technical/Management experience required
  • US Citizenship and current active TOP SECRET Clearance
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for software products, including pricing, and positioning.
  • Experience collaborating with government and industry stakeholders to understand requirements and shape product features for customer needs.
  • Experience with product lifecycles, from concept and development to launch and post-launch performance monitoring.
  • In-depth understanding of USG customer missions across the enterprise.
  • Proven success with structured business acquisition processes, from opportunity identification through program execution.
  • Experience with various Agile processes and methodologies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree highly preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Operational experience with the US DoD’s mission in conducting operations in the information environment.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
