Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Director of AI & Data to support the strategy, development, and implementation of AI-driven and data solutions within the Technology & Engineering Mission Portfolio team.   The ideal candidate will be an innovative and strategic leader with expertise in AI & Data programs with responsibility for providing thought leadership and development of new Peraton AI & Data capabilities or offerings for emerging supporting strategic intelligent mission scenarios.  This role will support customer opportunities and engagements including pre-sales pursuit/capture efforts, customer advisory/consulting along with the development of AI & Data technical solutions, proposals and white papers - The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience supporting $100M+ captures/proposals.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and support selling, solutioning, and delivery of AI & Data projects consisting of quality reviews of transformational solutions.
  • Shape and direct proposals describing Peraton’s AI & Data capabilities and solutions along with the value proposition and differentiation.
  • Review RFPs to ensure pursuit teams addressed requirements and incorporated win themes, created, developed, designed, and distributed draft response documents for assigned sections, and is responsible for all edits, finalizing and coordinating delivery of assigned proposal sections.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, ML, and advanced analytics into system integration solutions.
  • Serve as customer Advisor/Subject Matter Expert (SME) and execute the AI/Data strategy to align with business goals and client needs for strategic customer roadmaps/plans.
  • Lead the development of new capabilities or service offerings within AI & Data portfolio leveraging the range of AI techniques and end-to-end data management approaches.
  • Communicate technical solution concepts through the development of white papers, responses to requests for information, and technical proposals.
  • Be a thought leader, continuously updating and maintaining knowledge of emerging AI & Data technology innovations, processes and best practices.
  • Assist in leading and growing a vibrant Peraton’s AI & Data Community of Practice (CoP).
  • Demonstrate a successful track record for the timely delivery of winning proposals and solutions on pursuits more than $100M+.
  • Define and oversee approaches end-to-end model lifecycle development, from data collection and feature engineering to training, deployment, and monitoring.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s and 16 years of work experience (or Master’s and 14+) in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in AI/ML and data science, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in deploying AI & data solutions in production within cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of system integration challenges in enterprise IT and government sectors.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.

Desired

  • Experience with AI applications in cybersecurity, automation, IoT, or edge computing.
  • Knowledge of Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM), MLOps, DevSecOps, Cloud (AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc..) and AI governance best practices. Knowledge of the Data Management Body of Knowledge V2.
  • Understanding of NIST Risk Management framework for AI.
  • Familiarity with AI applications in government, defense, or highly regulated industries.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
