Cyber Systems Engineer, Senior Advisor

Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Intel team here in San Antonio Texas! Our team works with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. We are looking for a System Engineer to augment the existing foundations team. A successful candidate for this position has experience doing Linux administration on large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters using Centos 7 or RHEL. Minimally, the candidate should be skilled in Linux, Python/Bash, Configuration Management Software (Salt, Puppet or Ansible), and have some experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Position Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required (Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree)
• Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required
