Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior-level Software Engineer to support our Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS) Software Engineering Support (SES) Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA. 

 

As a Senior Level Software Engineer you will be supporting one of several sprints within the C2P functions. This position will involve maintaining and implementing new capabilities (ECPs) into the RSCP test tool, System Host. The selected candidate will lead and develop scenarios for Host stimulus and also use a data reduction tool to analyze data between C2P and RSCP.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Systems requirements development and allocation.
  • Modify existing CDLMS HMI and develop new Controls and Displays for the C2P as needed.
  • Analyzing software systems, codes, and software modules to resolve issues with software functionality and/or performance.
  • Supporting the integration of, and transition to new hardware and software systems for Tactical Data Links.
  • Perform software development for ECPs, ICPs, and TRs using CMS-2Y and C/C++, and maintain capability to work with Ultra-32 and Machine Transferable Support Software (MTASS) compiler and the AEGIS Tactical Executive System (ATES) 43 Operating System

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education:  8 years with a BS/BA, 6 years with a MS/MA or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Clearance:  active SECRET Clearance
  • Good understanding of RedHat, Java, C/C++, Perl, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Experience supporting all C2P sub-systems and components, which includes: CDLMS HMI, TDL Network Processor (TNP), Rehosted C2P (RC2P), C2P Emulated Rehost (C2P-ER), Common Link Integration Processing (CLIP), War Diary Daemon (WDD), Tools and Updates, File Manager, Time of Day Server (TOD), Toolset, and Link 22 Data Link Processor (DLP).
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data to determine system requirements.
  • Ability to research, evaluate, and recommend solutions and technologies based on customer needs.
  • Develop software code to implement new ECP requirements for the Tactical Data Links (TDLs), which includes but are not limited to Link 16, Link11, S TADIL J, Link 22, and JREAP A/C interfaces, Host interface, and the Human Machine Interface (HMI). 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with software modeling tools (e.g., DODAF/UML/SysML): Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience with the design to containerize legacy capabilities and creation of new container capabilities: Docker is highly desirable.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
