Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the State and Local technology strategy and innovation efforts at Peraton. The CTO will serve as a strategic leader, bridging the gap between business goals and technology solutions to support the unique demands of government clients. The CTO will be responsible for driving the development of advanced solutions and maintaining awareness of existing and future programs, as well as acquisition processes, to ensure offerings are tailored to the customer base. The CTO will be required to travel up to 50% of the time to support the growth objectives of the Business Unit (BU).

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Technology Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and market demands.
  • Innovation Leadership: Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and trends, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological excellence.
  • State and Local Growth: Assist the business development team with identifying key pursuits, assisting in customer outreach and attending the necessary trade associations/conferences.
  • Team Leadership: Be an active participant in various matrix functions including business development, capture and our architect community.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners to enhance the company's technological capabilities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 16 years experience, may have management experience 
  • Must have experience supporting agency-level strategy development (Digital transformation, governance, risk management, digital organization, change management, and business, and mission applications
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful technology strategies and solutions
  • Proven track regarding of partnering with business development to drive significant new business growth
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, cybersecurity frameworks, and emerging tech (AI/ML, quantum, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate technical team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree preferred

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
