Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced systems Requirements Management Engineer to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions. 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Provide customer requirements management and customer engagement for new and existing IT requirements submitted to the Tech Refresh program by customer stakeholder organizations and partners. 
  • Verify that submitted requirements are thoroughly understood, documented, vetted, and submitted through the Tech Refresh process for completion and execution. 
  • Gather information, requirements, validation, design, and implement new Tech Refresh assets. 
  • Develop procurements plans for appropriate CIO offices. 
  • Oversee the collection, submission, and management of requirements submitted through the approved Tech Refresh requirements process. 
  • Perform and submit quality assurance analysis documentation. 
  • Perform on-going requirements analysis and reporting. 
  • Interact with customers on various topics such as issues, risks, requirements gathering, and project updates.  
  • Work with project stakeholders and end users to elicit, understand, analyze, and document the requirements for a system to solve a given business problem(s) 
  • Document, analyze, and review software requirements for a large infrastructure development team responsible for Engineering development, testing, installation, customer interface, operations and Tech Refresh 
  • Interface with multiple stakeholders to assess and understand the requirements to ensure that user stories are consistent and applicable across all products.  
  • Oversee functional and non-functional requirements for multiple products within the project team.  
  • Manage and verify requirements; capturing detailed descriptions of user needs and product functionality; and ensuring the project team has clear, consistent, and testable requirements documented in user stories and completion criteria.  
  • Reconcile conflicts; decompose high-level information into the appropriate level of detail for team members; and participate in peer reviews of requirements documentation. 
  • Document any requirement discrepancies or disconnects, and recommend solutions, mitigations, alternatives, or corrective actions. Potential discrepancies may include impacts to interoperability, functionality, traceability (i.e., upward and downward flow), supportability, and compatibility (e.g., evolving capability, backward and forward compatibility issues, constellation evolution, etc.). 
  • 10% Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a counter-intelligence scope (CI) Poly clearance. 
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with bachelor’s degree; Minimum of 6 years with master’s degree; Minimum of 3 years with PhD or 12+ years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of a degree. 
  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or Requirements Management Engineer or similar role with Advisor level proficiency. 
  • Proficient in Systems Engineering and Integration process standards, including Configuration Management and Quality Control processes. 
  • Ability to provide written and oral interpretation of highly specialized terms and data, and to present this data to others with different levels of expertise. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance. 
  • Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline.  
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies. 
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certifications (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP). 
  • Expertise in Requirements Verification Traceability Management Tools (e.g., DOORS, etc.). 

 

Security Clearance:  

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
