Systems Administrator

Peraton is looking to fill a critical role for an Systems Administrator for our Enterprise Information Technology Services Integrator (EITSI).

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Assists with system operations on Windows domain infrastructure and executes platform upgrade activities.
• Patch management using multiple tools (MECM, WSUS, etc.).
• Configures and updates settings on group policies (GPOs) for STIG compliance, etc.
• Sustainment of access security tasks for users using group policies, administration of security groups, and domain optimization.
• Assists with system hardware and software testing and deployment tasks, along with development teams to ensure transparent implementation and appropriate capacity in production.
• Coordinates and performs operating system (OS)/ firmware upgrades, patch and vulnerability management for OS and application software; images Windows workstations.
• Investigates and proposes solutions that address improvement on system availability, security, and sustainability for hardware and software.
• Monitors and ensures data backup methods are scheduled and functioning appropriately.
• Accurately monitors logs, and support ticketing system, and provides timely follow-up on all requests and incidents.

Required Qualifications:

• BS Degree -OR- 4 years progressive experience
• Work on-site due to classified system requirements.
• Government contract requires person possess proof of U.S. citizenship.
• Active DoD SECRET (or above)

Desired Qualifications: 

• Have or obtain requisite DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security + CE) within 60 days of beginning position.
• Demonstrated system administration experience including:
  • Windows 10 and 11 OS, including patching.
  • Windows Server (2019, 2022), including patching.
  • Familiar with Active Directory infrastructure (deployment/upgrades)
  • Familiar with Group Policy administration/Windows security.
