Peraton is seeking an experienced Entrust Java Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this role, you will contribute to designing and developing next-generation customer engagement systems for federal service agencies. Location: Hybrid – On-site in Columbia, MD, 4 times per month

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Develop web and backend applications/services for a Federal IT program using Java/Spring-based REST APIs integrated with a Web 2.0 framework.
  • Work in a continuous integration environment to ensure efficient and seamless delivery.
  • Collaborate with a team of developers to create innovative solutions for next-generation customer engagement systems.
  • Build and implement software solutions using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Java.
  • Conduct detailed design reviews to ensure alignment with program goals and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 4 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 6 years experience. 
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Hands-on development experience, including Java/Spring development experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise solutions using the Java Spring framework.
  • Detailed understanding of database schema design/SQL,
  • Thorough understanding and experience in developing using agile scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with using Java development tools (e.g., Eclipse, JUnit, Git).
  • Experience leading a team of developers for a large-scale Federal IT program

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Entrust Toolkit for Java.
  • Experience in a large-scale Federal IT Program.
  • Experience in developing using Agile Scrum methodologies.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
