Responsibilities

System Management Branch. Part of DoDIN-A operations focus on multiple dispersed, independent/intra-dependent systems performing multiple functions (Operating System (OS), Hardware (HW), database, software applications, etc.) that are interoperable with other elements or systems to perform a function as part of a larger, more complex system. The GCC operates, monitors, sustains, and secures Enterprise directed systems throughout the GCC AOR and internal services.
• Operating System Administration. The GCC operates, maintains, secures, and sustains OSs supporting numerous local and Enterprise services. Performs the underlying operating systems, desktop, and help desk support functions:
• Virtualization Management / SAN / Backup. The GCC operates, maintains, secures, and monitors Virtual Infrastructure (VI) internally and within Enterprise virtual systems owner environments. The GCC uses various cloud and cloud computing services. Most virtual environments are Private Cloud services; however, many services are moving to the cloud, and require the same support as described. Perform the following functions in support of the Government to implement, deploy, operate, maintain, and sustain VI environments, large storage devices, and backup/restoration systems/services/process/procedures using maximal automation where possible. Perform the following Virtualization functions:
• Virtualization Management: Secure, maintain, update, harden, and document all VI GCC and Enterprise-managed systems with in the GCC responsibility boundaries. This includes enclave administration, fault management, trouble analysis, incident handling and reporting, system status reporting, implementation testing and acceptance, and general administrative tasks. Provide system performance monitoring and trend analysis to identify and address system performance issues. Develop and maintain a standard process for collecting, developing, and managing the GEF-N and GEF-S requirements.
• Hypervisor Administration: Develop, deploy, install, maintain, update, and troubleshoot VI environments. Build and install computer infrastructure, including hardware, servers, and virtual machines using virtual operating systems, virtual environments, and Enterprise management virtual software.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years with BS/BA; 6 years without a HS doploma or equivalent
  • DoD Secret clearance is required for this role
  • Certifications: DCWF Code 451 Intermediate: CompTIA Cloud+ or CompTIA Security+ or GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
