Responsibilities

We are looking to add a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Administrator (Tier III) to the team! This qualified individual will join our FDA Program's high performing team. 

 

What you will do:

  • Will resolve daily PKI and Smart card access tickets which includes user permissions, SSL certificate request, servers and applications access requests
  • Will manage reinstatement and renewal of user privilege accounts
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of FDA’s enterprise authentication services and infrastructure.
  • Assist with system upgrades, version uplifts
  • Perform troubleshooting for infrastructure issues
  • Monitor PKI infrastructure and ensure operational readiness
  • Evaluate all certificate types for problems, issues, renewals and revocation
  •  Provides certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans.
  • Provides assistance in computer incident investigations.
  • Performs vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
  • Windows/Active Directory experience is essential, as the PKI environment is highly integrated with AD
  • Troubleshooting experience is essential, as this role will be responsible for daily monitoring and problem resolution
  • Experience in Certificate Revocation List
  • Experience with system upgrades and version uplifts
  • Certificate Authority (CA), Validation Authority (VA), Validation Responders (VR)
  • Scripting (development/coding) experience
  • Familiar with OCSP servers and Hardware Security Modules (HSM) 
  • Familiarity with Active Client
  • Experience with SmartCard authentication
  • Cloud experience
  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Desired:

  • Scripting (VBScript and/or PowerShell)
  • NetIQ DRA
  • Splunk
  • CISSP, Security+, or similar certification
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library ITILv4

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
