Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance Process Senior Technical Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of Peraton’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program providing Quality Assurance support to the DHS Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) biometric system.  The Quality Assurance Process Senior Technical Specialist is responsible for quality of services delivered; establish and maintain process governance and oversight; develop standards (key process indicators, KPI) and monitor performance against those standards in the delivery of service; and manage continual improvement for the program.  

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee and manage the quality assurance and continual improvement program
  • Oversee the deliverable management process
  • Facilitate the identification, management, and reporting of program risks and opportunities
  • Support configuration management activities
  • Facilitate working sessions and reviews with key stakeholders to identify and remove root causes related to decreased service quality, service performance, delivery times, etc.
  • Working closely with the quality assurance team and key stakeholders to:
    • Collect, analyze, and report quality assurance and quality control metrics
    • Ensure the quality and timely submission of contract deliverables
    • Conduct document and compliance reviews to ensure deliverables meet the defined acceptable quality level and meet contractual specifications
    • Identify improvement opportunities to decrease deliverable defects and reduce delivery time

Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Coach and mentor program staff on the quality assurance and continual improvement program, including process governance; service delivery and performance standards; quality assurance and quality control metrics; and service delivery and performance standards.
  • Provide process engineering support to improve efficiency and effectiveness of development, operations, and maintenance activities using ITIL and industry best practices.
  • Engage with the customer’s Agile Teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with ITSM practice owners to identify and drive improvements to services, service delivery (i.e., efficiencies and effectiveness), and end-to-end customer experience based on quantitative and qualitative data using various techniques, methods and standards such as Lean/Six Sigma, ISO 9004, ISO 20000-1, and Agile.
  • Review and analyze performance metrics to identify and recommend improvement opportunities (e.g., lowering costs, reducing cycle time, improving customer service experience, and increase alignment with business, operational and compliance requirements, etc.)
  • Works independently, multi-tasks and works autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Plan, execute, and maintain the quality audit program including recording audit results, assessing process maturity and recommending improvements based on ITIL and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance is required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills. 
  • 5+ years quality management and audit experience ensuring alignment with business, operational and compliance requirements.
  • 5+ years relevant professional experience in ITSM and with various techniques, methods, and standards such as Lean/Six Sigma, ISO 9004, ISO 20000-1, and Agile.
  • 5+ years’ experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on program metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations to all organizational levels (internal and external).
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and support the design and implementation of ITSM and quality improvements.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Experience with Agile methodology

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
