Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a full-time Investigative Support Branch Manager within our Risk Decision Group.

 

This position is 100% remote.

 

What you’ll do:

 

The Investigative Support Branch Manager will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Lead and manage a diverse group of remote investigative support specialists, monitoring the progress of case work and deliverables to customer.
  • Ensure a quality product is provided to clients and customers in a timely manner.
  • Has overall accountability for customer satisfaction with team performance and quality
  • Provide workload management as well as oversight of specialist in multiple time zones.
  • Accountable for assignment strategies, operational logistics and cross department collaborations
  • Provide on-going oversight and instruction regarding new policies, clarifications and guidance put forth by federal customers and Peraton.
  • Effectively utilize government and internal database reports to manage specialists and workload inventory.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with agencies providing records to the organization.
  • Develops/maintains department process manual and related materials.
  • Work cross functionally with the Investigative Support Branch leadership team and support functions to execute to contractual and corporate requirements.
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for help/support regarding systems and departmental processes.
  • Prepares for and conducts regular telephonic conferences for team and department staff.
  • Accountable for effective profit/loss management for the Investigative Records Branch; develops strategies and tactics to ensure profitability.
  • Analyzes operational data and projections to forecast unit performance and monitor expected achievement.
  • Reviews operational data such as team productivity, prepares findings on trends and presents to leadership.
  • Manage supervisory administrative processes including, time off requests, payroll approval and submission, and onboarding.
  • Provide daily supervision including hiring, training, evaluations, disciplinary action, coaching, counseling, and termination actions with direct reports.
  • Coach personnel on both performance and career goals to link team development with organizational needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • US Citizenship
  • Current/Active T5/SSBI favorably adjudicated clearance.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Six years general work experience.
  • Five years of experience working on government background investigations.
  • Experience documenting investigative findings in well-drafted reports and the ability to communicate (both oral and written) complex issues with simplicity.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills; working in multiple system simultaneously.  
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, exercise good judgement, make independent decisions and lead with positivity and encouragement to empower a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all client groups as a representative of Peraton.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.
  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity and take decisive action yielding positive results.
  • Must be dependable, highly responsible and have exceptional customer services skills.
  • Demonstrate ability swiftly adapt to any process or policy change and implement it effectively.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Travel as required (up to 10%).

 Desired qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
  • Prior management experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to handle several ongoing projects, tasks and metrics while working independently.
  • Excellent organizational, scheduling and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient writing and communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
