Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Customer Technical Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This individual is responsible for implementing policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots complex networking issues.
  • Troubleshoot and handle duress alarm systems.
  • Manages and troubleshoots mobile devices.
  • Manages Blackberry UEM client software/backend console server.
  • In-depth applications knowledge of company's products, services and/or systems.
  • Ensures maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements.
  • Establishes objectives and directs staff activities to improve technical support practices in the areas of quality, knowledge centered support and resolution timeframes.
  • Drives product supportability.
  • Coordinates customer service activities with other internal functions.
  • Designs and maintains customer databases.
  • Assists users with computer hardware and/or software applications (e.g., website access, email setup, troubleshooting, etc.) for the purpose of providing immediate problem resolution.
  • Coordinates the ordering of parts.
  • Manages shipping logistics individual site locations
  • Manages and handle complex dispatching/special project management.
  • Operations may be 24/7.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree and 5 years’ experience or Associate degree and 7 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years' experience  
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
  • Experience with deploying/re-imaging Windows 10/Windows 11.
  • Familiar with Microsoft SCCM server.
  • Understanding of active directory.
  • Understanding of Printer Logic management console server.

The following is desired but not required:

  • A+ certification
  • Network + certification
  • Able to plan and prioritize team workload to ensure objectives are achieved on time.
  • Experience working in a professional security environment balancing multiple tasks and prioritizing as required.
  • Ability to contribute to a much larger team ensuring Mission Critical Facilities issues and customer requests are met in a timely fashion.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
