Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Protection Lead that will become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.

 

Location: Rosslyn, VA

 

Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical, and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information,and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Provide leadership over a team of administrators and engineers maintaining and advancing DoS Security tools.
  • Interact with the customer to identify and understand priorities of current and future tasks.
  • Be responsible to providing continues updates to contract and customer leadership.
  • Be responsible for interaction with team, assign tasking and track status of tasking.
  • Coordinate system updates, enhancement and modifications with the system users and leadership.
  • Need to possess knowledge of system/application administration in support of products and tools that support Cyber Monitoring Operations.
  • Develop plans and schedules to support delivery of the customer’s needs.
  • Provide briefings to leadership on status of task and conduct weekly updates on team metrics to immediate leadership and the customer.
  • Can take leadership in crisis situations and lead teams to resolution.
  • Provide leadership over technical task to support the plan and operations of the customer.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 12 years of experience in IT, Cyber Security, and/or other projects related to critical network infrastructure protection.
  • Minimum of 8 years of current experience in cyber security system or solution design, engineering, evaluation, integration and/or deployment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support related experience.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cyber security guidance at the authoritative level.
  • Certifications: Possess an active CISSP, OR, have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • Understanding of EDR and XDR tools.
  • In depth knowledge of Defense.
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Agile.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • The ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance prior to your start date.
    • The ability to obtain a final Top-Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
