Responsibilities

 

Peraton is seeking a motivated CAD Operator/Draftsman to support a program on-site in Landover, Maryland. Our program provides full life cycle support for a large Information Technology (IT) system for the Department of Defense (DoD). This program delivers full life-cycle engineering support for all system elements including Development (hardware, software, and networks), Systems and Security Engineering (Integration, testing and Deployment), Sustainment (Logistics, and field support), Network Operations Center (NOC)/Help Desk, and Government user training support for user community.

 

The CAD Operator/Draftsman responsibilities include:

  • Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.
  • Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.
  • Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
  • Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
  • May work with system management including file maintenance, backup, and storage.
  • Prepare and log engineering drawings (process spec and tooling drawings).

**This role is required to provide support, on-site, Mon-Fri**

 

**This program does allow for a flexible work schedule and is walking distance from a Metro station**

Qualifications

 

 

Required Qualification:

  • An Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • High School Diploma/GED and five (5) to six (6) years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with MAC OS Systems and experience operating AutoCAD 2021 and 2022.
  • Experience revising drawings based on instructions from engineers or architects.
  • Experience Microsoft tools such as excel.
  • Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, blueprints, product specifications, and geometric dimensioning tolerance (GD&T), Wide Diagrams, flow plans, network diagrams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited technical trade-craft school is highly preferred.
  • CompTIA certifications such as Network+, A+ or security+ is highly desired.
  • Experience with SolidWorks.

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
